Human trafficking is the health care issue that is also known as “modern slavery”. There are several types of human trafficking and, as a result, clinical manifestations can vary. There are also barriers to disclosure. All health care settings, however, afford an excellent opportunity for identifying victims of this insidious crime as well as providing them with an appropriate assessment.

Medical Eagle offers an educational activity for Registered Nurses on Human Trafficking that awards 2-contact hours of Continuing Nursing Education as well as technical assistance training for ancillary healthcare departments and Sexual Assault Response Team (SART) members. Class offerings will be posted as they are scheduled.
